Terms of service

The agreement between Bugwatch and you when you use the service. Plain where we could make it plain.

Last updated 2026-10-02

The agreement

By creating an account or using Bugwatch you agree to these terms, the acceptable use policy and the privacy policy. If you use Bugwatch for an organization, you agree on its behalf and confirm that you may.

Accounts

Give us a real email address and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account and your organization's tokens. Owners and admins decide who is a member and what each member may do, and are responsible for those choices, including the access they give to AI agents and API tokens.

Plans and billing

  • The Free plan needs no card. Paid plans are billed in advance each month at the prices on the pricing page.
  • Your organization is billed by one payment provider, and the dashboard says which before you buy. With Polar, Polar is the seller of record and handles invoices, tax and refunds. With Stripe, Bugwatch is the seller.
  • By default each plan has a hard cap: when you reach your allowance, ingestion stops, and we tell you at 80% and at 100%. You pay for usage above the allowance only if you turn overage on.
  • When you cancel, your plan continues until the end of the period you paid for, then becomes Free. Fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law or the seller of record's policy requires it.
  • We may change prices for future periods. We give at least 30 days' notice before a change reaches an existing subscription.

Your data

What you send to Bugwatch remains yours. You allow us to host, process and display it only to provide the service to you, as the privacy policy describes.

You are responsible for having the right to send us the data your applications send, including any personal data about your users. Use the scrubbing and IP settings, and scrub in your SDK, so that you send no more than you need.

Data is kept for your plan's retention period. An owner can delete the organization, and all its data with it, in Settings → General, and an owner or admin can export it there first.

AI features

The fix agent and chat use third-party AI models and can be wrong. Review a suggested fix or pull request as you would review any change; nothing is merged without a person doing so. AI features use credits, and running one sends the issue's context to the chosen model provider.

Acceptable use

Follow the acceptable use policy. In short: monitor systems you are responsible for, send alerts only to people who agreed to receive them, and do not attack, overload or work around the service or its limits.

The service

We work to keep Bugwatch available and show its state on a public status page, but we do not promise uninterrupted service unless we have agreed a service level in writing. We may change features. If we remove one you depend on, we will tell you beforehand where we reasonably can.

Bugwatch works with Sentry SDKs and other third-party software. Their names belong to their owners, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

Suspension and ending

You can stop using Bugwatch at any time. We may suspend an organization that breaches these terms or the acceptable use policy, or that puts the service or other customers at risk. Where it is safe to do so, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we end the service for you without cause, we refund what you paid for the unused period.

Warranties and liability

Apart from what these terms promise, the service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue or data, and each party's total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We date every version. If a change is material, we email organization owners at least 30 days before it applies. Continuing to use Bugwatch after that means you accept it. Questions: support@bugwatch.io.
